  • Aviation Engine Accessory Technician

    Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as assigned in accordance with the applicable maintenance data and Federal Aviation Regulations in the repair or overhaul of turbine engine accessories.

    Essential duties and responsabilities

    -Becoming familiar with all the accessories in the repair station capability list.
    -Performing complete disassembly and cleaning of units.
    -Ensuring all maintenance activities are performed according to the appropriate maintenance data.
    -Follow all Work Order instructions applicable to the requested maintenance to be performed by the customer.
    -Becoming familiar with the Repair Station Quality Control Manual-RSQCM contents and to comply with all applicable sections to the assign task.
    -Performing inspection, assembly and final testing of units.
    -Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety requirements, OSHA, and environmental policies.
    -Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Physical requirements:

    Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. May require occasional bending, reaching, and kneeling. Must be able to handle light loads from 10-20 lbs.

    Education and-or experience

    High School education or GED.
    Prior experience repairing or overhauling turbine engine accessories preferred.
    One or two years related experience and-or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

    Language skills

    Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, service letters, etc. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups to other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    Reasoning ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


    Windows and Microsoft Word.

    Certificates, licences, registrations

    FAA Powerplant Rating license or proof of prior FAA Repairmen Certification with accessory inspection or technician endorsement preferred.
