    Summary
    Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments according to Project Managers and-or departmental supervision in conjunction with schedules and priorities. Reviews schedule and related information to determine material requirements, with the responsibility for all receiving, shipping, and inventory control of the engineering department. The Materials Coordinator will also be responsible for pulling parts to distribute, assemble kits, and manage the various parts within the R and D Lab Facility.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    -Liaison between Purchasing, Certification, and Project Management to ensure seamless flow of information between internal customers on material matters for a specified program.
    -Ability to receive, segregate, and store material with high priority on accuracy, error-free paperwork and organization. Maintain all sensitive data information to ensure accountability.
    -Ability to perform data entry, maintain records such as material inventory, in-process reports, and the status of materials and inspection-conformity reports.
    -The ability to transport material and-or parts from one department to another manually or by using material handling equipment.
    -Receive, tag, stock, and disburse parts to technicians.
    -Report status on materials and proactively escalate issues to mitigate problems.
    -Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks on a daily basis.
    -Must be able to work with a team in developing improved-lean processes for the department.
    -Observe all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping rules and policies.
    -Self-starter, requiring little supervision or guidance while performing assigned duties.
    -Ability to maintain the traceability of conforming parts, assemblies, and test articles for certification activities.
    -Responsible for maintaining multiple, segregated, secure storage areas for parts, assemblies, and test articles for certification programs.
    Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Education and-or Experience Required
    -High school diploma required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or three years related experience.
    -Computer proficient utilizing all Microsoft Office applications with intermediate skills in Excel required.

    -Good vocabulary and grammar skills and the ability to independently compose routine and clearly written communications.
    -Ability to recognize critical situations and immediately take appropriate action as required.

    -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

    -Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company; collaborate on issues and work together to actively reach a resolution with coworkers, internal customers and Management and with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Project Management required.
    Mathematical
    -Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematical skills.
    Physical Requirements
    -Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop, crawl and kneel.
    -Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs, ladders, and ramps).
