    Coordinates engineering activities to support General Aviation customers. Responsible for engine and airframe integration project planning and execution. Coordinate Sales and Marketing requests with Engineering. Support customer service and integration issues.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    - Evaluate engine installations for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, FAA Regulations and related specifications
    - Review and evaluate product requests and formulate conceptual designs to meet customer requirements.
    - Plan and implement aircraft and engine integration projects based on customer requirements.
    - Develop and maintain schedule and budget for assigned engineering projects.
    - Analyze Sales and Marketing project proposals to determine technical feasibility.
    - Coordinate customer driven projects with Engineering.
    - Consult with project personnel and others to provide technical assistance and information.
    - Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team and management.
    - Coordinate airframe integration, testing and related activities.
    - Available to travel as required.
    - Other duties as assigned.
    - Able to perform duties with minimal management.

    Education and experience

    Bachelors degree in Engineering from four year college or university and a minimum of 2 years related experience, or comparable combination of training and experience.
    Familiarity with aviation reciprocating engine theory, operation and sub-systems.Familiarity with general aviation airframes powerplant integration. Pilot certificate or A and P certificate a plus.

    Language skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write technical reports and articles that are suitable for publication. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and OEMs.

    Reasoning ability

    Ability to multitask daily including multiple projects. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and define technical instructions for various audiences. Ability to analyze various engine and airframe data using Excel or equivalent.

    Computer skills

    Windows, Power Point, MS Project, Word and Excel both extensive charting and graphing.

    Physical requirements

    - Work location is indoors, outdoors and on elevated areas.
    - Must be able to work in a hangar environment.
    - Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
    - Must be able to walk distances of over 1 mile during the day.
    - Must be able to work in safety sensitive areas.
    - Must be able to frequently bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb, sit and stand when working with aircraft for the entire work day.
    - Must be able to work with and around cleaners, degreasers, plating chemicals, ammonia, solvents, aviation fuels and other natural or synthetic greases and oils.
