    Essential duties and responsibilities

    - Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures.
    - Responsible for NonDestructive Testing of Aircraft and Components.
    - Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
    - Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
    - Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
    - Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and supervision to trainees as used by the employer.
    - When specified in the written practice, be capable of developing work instructions from approved general procedures, such work instructions shall require final approval by a level 3 certified in the method.
    - Have the basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
    - When specified in the written practice, have a basic knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance.
    - All other duties as assigned.

    Education and experience

    Associates degree or equivalent from two year College or technical school, or four years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, licenses, registrations

    NDT Level I Inspector with the following disciplines
    - Ability to correctly use applicable NDT equipment.
    - Experience in aircraft NDT desired.
    - Familiar with aircraft manufacturers technical documentation.
    - Ability to read and interpret ADs, SBs, and industry NDT specifications and other work instructions.
    - Familiar with regulatory requirements of FAR 145 repair station.

    Physical requirements

    Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders, to work and climb on overhead areas. Ability to stoop, bend forward, bend at waist or by bending legs and spine.

    Language skills

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability
    to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and
    small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
    common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
    interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
    or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
    standardized situations.

    Windows and Microsoft Word.
