Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft airframe and engine, to include engine and component testing to ensure conformance and FAA regulations are met.
- Responsible for using sound judgement and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution- Train and supervise Mechanical Technician I or those assigned- Installs and removes engines from airframe and test cells - Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner- Use common hand tools to maintain and make repairs to aircraft engines and test facilities- Perform engine runs in test facilities and perform prescribed inspections of associated equipment- Utilize special measurement tools while performing intricate inspections- Observe all safety, environmental and general housekeeping rules and policies
- High school diploma or general education degree and two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.- General knowledge of basic hand tools and precise measuring equipment required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Basic Mathematical practices
Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to stand or stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to see to disassemble and visually inspect.
