Highly responsible and motivated representative that works very close with the Original Equipment Manufacturing customer in a sales and technical product support capacity. Domestic and International travel required.The OEM Sales Manager works directly with identified and assigned OEM customers to maximize revenue generation and customer satisfaction for CMG. Individual will identify appropriate sales opportunities in the early phases of development and then manages and support them through the stages of the selling cycle and beyond. This process will include initial opportunity assessment, new business review activities and formal program initiation. The OEM Sales Manager will be responsible for lead generation and customer relationship management in accordance with direction from Director OEM Sales. Individual will be responsible for meeting sales goals and objectives as assigned.
- Identifying leads and managing them through stages of the selling cycle. - Identify existing and new OEM customers needs and prepare and execute presentations that acknowledge the customer needs, review product requirements and determine additional technical needs and sales opportunities. Solicits sales of new and additional services.- Create quotes and proposals while serving as a sales and technical advisor. - Manage assigned OEM customers for all CMG products and services.- Interact with customers by phone, email, fax, or in person.- Effective planning to conduct sales and technical presentations by meeting with customers on a routine basis.- Manage customer database and analyze metrics that validate effectiveness on marketing strategies.- Preparation of reports for sales and marketing.- Act as main point of contact for OEM customer issues regarding function, quality, design, specification, application, and delivered condition of products and facilitates follow up with Product Support, Quality, Engineering, Finance organizations and others. - Lead and facilitate customer-supplier communication, incl. RAIL, Quarterly meetings, etc.- Provide forecast and meet goals and track customer performance to specific metrics and deliverables. - Manage high level customer relationship accordingly to ensure that Continental is positioned ahead of competitive alternatives. - Develop positive differentiators that helps customer solve problems and satisfy unmet needs. - Use all available processes, procedures as well as other resources in the company to effectively accelerate, close and manage opportunities and manage customer relationships. - Assist in developing sales strategies and campaigns to help gain market share and secure positions on existing and new platforms. - Ensure that OEM customer files are up to date.- Travel to customer locations, trade shows, conferences, etc., to maximize CMG presence and positive positing with customer.
Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or aviation related field or equivalent experience in aviation and, or technical customer related field. Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. FAA private pilot certificate or FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate desired. Strong competency in the use of a personal computer including, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical periodicals. Ability to read and analyze financial, sales, and marketing reports. Ability to respond to customers in person and in writing. Strong writing and presentation skills. Comfortable in public speaking to a variety of audiences. Additional foreign language abilities a plus.
