    Performs dimensional inspection, on engines and its components to ensure airworthiness by performing the following duties. No supervisory duties.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    - Read and interpret manufacturers' overhaul manuals, interchangeable parts catalog, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
    - Measure and visually inspect parts in accordance with manufactures overhaul manual, FAA regulations, and customer requirements.
    - Enter findings into computer system
    - Knowledge of safety regulations.

    Education and experience

    Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school, or one year to
    two years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and
    experience.

    Language skills

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Physical requirements

    Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. May require bending, reaching, kneeling. Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs.

    Mathematical skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
    common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
    interpret bar graphs.

    Technical skills

    Must be able to accurately use measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.

    Reasoning ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
    or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
    standardized situations.

    Computer

    Windows, Microsoft Word, excel. Ability to understand and interpret overhaul manuals, interchangeable parts catalogs, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.

    Certificates, licenses, registrations

    Power plant license preferred.
