    The Parts Control Specialist is responsible for researching, purchasing, receiving and recordkeeping for all parts and materials used in the daily operation of the repair station.
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    - Review information with production manager, supervisor, and mechanics about parts and materials needed to complete the job.
    - Contact vendors to gather quotes and lead times for parts out at repair
    - Physically receive and visually inspect parts and materials received for damage and proper documentation used in the daily operation of the repair station to assure quality.
    - Receive material ordered by purchasing in the computer
    - Knowledge of safety, environmental, and health practices.
    - Maintain inventory control records for all material received and disbursed.
    - Manage stock room to ensure proper inventory control.
    - Distribute parts to specific jobs in order to assure steady work flow.
    - Ship and receive engines
    - Perform local pickup and deliveries

    Education and experience

    One to two years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. One to two years related experience in operating a forklift.

    Language skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Physical requirements

    Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. May require bending, reaching, kneeling. Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs.

    Mathematical skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

    Reasoning ability

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
