  • Aftermarket Sales/Support Manager

    The manager is highly responsible and motivated representative that works very closely with the customers including Original Equipment Manufacturers OEM, owners, mechanics, and pilots in a sales and technical product support capacity. Extensive travel required.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    - Identify needs of the companys customers and execute presentations that acknowledge the customer needs.
    - Must have a strong background in PWC PT6 operational theory.
    - Must have strong PWC PT6A and PT6T technical orientation.
    - Create proposals and personally visit operators and channel partners while serving as a sales and technical advisor.
    - Must have strong contract and fleet support agreement negotiation skills.
    - Execute presentations for operators as assigned at their places of business and selected marketing events.
    - Schedule appointments with operators and channel partners in order to review product requirements and determine additional technical needs and sales opportunities.
    - Effectively plan to conduct sales and technical presentations by meeting and communicating with customers on a routine basis.
    - Manage customer database and analyze metrics that validate effectiveness on marketing strategies.
    - Preparation of reports for sales and marketing.
    - Preservation of confidential and or sensitive information.
    - Investigates customer complaints regarding quality, specifications, application, and delivered condition of products.
    - Works closely with Customer Support organization and other channel partners to meet customer sales and support organizations needs.
    - Solicit sales or new and additional services.
    - Identify sales opportunities and manage through the stages of the selling cycle.
    - Meet closure rate of sales as assigned by Director, Aftermarket and Distributor Sales.
    - Analyze aftermarket sales opportunities and position Continental to win them.
    - Develop skills and knowledge to sell engines, parts and services to operators using the entire Continental portfolio of products and services.
    - Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
    - Must be able to handle a large volume of calls and tasks in a professional and timely manner.

    Education and experience

    Bachelors degree in business or aviation related field. Four to ten years of aviation and technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills are required.

    Preferred skills

    FAA private pilot certificate and FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred. Bilingual preferred.


    Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Word, CORRIDOR, and MACOLA or similar ER

    Language skills

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical periodicals. Ability to read and analyze financial, sales, and marketing reports. Ability to respond to customers in person and in writing. Strong writing and presentation skills. Comfortable in public speaking to a variety of audiences.

    Mathematical skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning abliity

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
